Barclays - Corporate Fun Days

Barclays returned to Wakelin Farm for the second year running, taking a midweek afternoon away from the office to bring colleagues together from across a large department — a chance to mix with people they wouldn’t normally work alongside, have fun, and connect without talking shop. Both years they’ve chosen 1st Class Cuisine, whose amazing BBQ is always a huge hit. This year landed on an absolute scorcher, so the classic ice cream van was incredibly well received. The organiser made full use of the three fridges behind the bar, stocking them with beers, ciders and plenty of fizzy drink alternatives for everyone to help themselves, keeping the whole day casual and relaxed. Last year’s sports‑day theme set the tone with favourites like the three‑legged race, and this year they brought the goal around for a World Cup‑themed afternoon, complete with penalty shoot‑outs and plenty of friendly competition. It was pure fun in the sunshine — easy going, energetic, and a brilliant way for the team to spend time together.
